centring pole dancers of colour
Welcome to Blackstage Pole
Who are we?
Blackstage is a non-profit events company that exists to centre and enhance the creativity of pole dancers of colour
with a special focus on those who are Queer, Trans, Disabled, Low income or sex workers.
What do we do?
We host events that exclusively centre the development of pole dancers of colour.
What is our policy?
Blackstage is a Black, Queer, Sex Worker-led organisation with a focus on community.
Our community is mainly QTIBPOC and therefore our core values are
respecting other people’s identities and striving to make our events as safe and accessible as possible.
We have a Blackstage policy which is discussed
with all external collaborators to ensure we are keeping our communities as safe as possible.
What can you do here?
Through this website, you can find out about all of our events and vacancies, view our galleries from past events,
contact us, view our BPOC instructor list, read our policy and blogs, and most importantly - donate to us to support our work!
Our Annual Shows
The main focus of Blackstage is to create creative opportunities for pole dancers of colour.
We run an annual professional show with a focus on performer care and community.
The entire show centres pole dancers and their needs and aims to build relationships and community.
We also run workshops, alumni pole jams, pole pub quizzes and aim to have more, smaller events all year round.
